London, June 27, 2007) – Renowned U.K. jewellery designer Stephen Webster and DeBeers rocked the halls of the Bloomsbury Ballroom WC1 last night to the tunes of Mick Jones’ new band ‘Carbon Silicone’ to celebrate the launch of his ‘Burning Rocks’ jewellery collection.
Celebrity friends of Stephen’s who attended included Mick Jones, Jonny Cooper Clark, Flea, Tracey Emin, Andy Wong, Kelly Hoppen, Amanda Wakeley, Jimmy Choo, Jessie Wood, Katie Turner, Serena Rees, Hamish McAlpine, Jessie Morris and Lisa Snowdon.
Stephen Webster, ‘UK Luxury Jewellery Designer of the Year” in 2005, for the fourth consecutive year, is one of the leading British jewellery designers of his time. His signature bold style and exotic gems make him a favourite of sophisticated, stylish celebrities such as Madonna, Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Sienna Miller. Stephen, who concedes that during most of his life in jewellery he was referred to a rough diamond’, felt it was wrong to refuse the opportunity to design a collection for DeBeers when the CEO, Mr Guy Leymarie asked him. DeBeers’ Diamond Jewellers’ iconic Talisman collection introduced rough diamonds in a myriad of hues in covetable jewellery to the delight of the consumer and is the essential focus of the ‘Burning Rocks’ collection.
