As wildfires continue to burn across Northern and Southern California, residents are in need of clean air. The demand for masks is crucial as for many during this time the smoke and ash continue to linger. Direct Relief has distributed more than 350,000 N-95 masks in partnership with the public health departments of affected areas. In addition, the organization has provided critical respiratory medications and respirators to medical facilities in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties.
Direct Relief will continue to provide requested medical resources – including essential medicines like insulin and care packs filled with hygiene items – to community clinics and groups working with displaced families. The community clinics see a spike in patient volume when disasters occur and typically serve the most vulnerable members in their regions.
From the 22nd of December 2017 until the 28th of February 2018, Stephen Webster with donate 15% of the total sales value of each customer transaction made from our flagship store at Beverly Hills to Direct Relief.
