2018, has truly been an exciting year for Stephen Webster, with the launch of five fine jewellery and Homeware collections, a franchise store opening in Seoul, Korea, collaborative collection with Atelier Swarovski and awarded Best in Innovation at The Couture Show, Las Vegas! Here mark’s our key brand highlights for the year, as we look forward to 2019!

In spring, we launched 'Fish Tales' a collection inspired by Stephen’s life-long fascination with marine life. Each of the 26 figurative charms, illustrates a sea life creature within a letter of the alphabet, brought to life in 18 karat yellow gold and diamonds. To accompany each necklace, Stephen personally created a short stories Fish Tale Book, that uncovers the mystery and magic of these aquatic creatures and their unique personalities.

Continuing with the theme of all things aquatic; Stephen Webster made a stand against the world’s plastic pollution problem, with the launch of The Last Straw. The UK alone uses mind-boggling 8.5 billion straws every year, taking 200 years to break down and are among the top 10 items found in beach clean-ups. Partnering with  Plastic Oceans International, Stephen Webster has donated and will continue to donate 10% of all sales proceeds of The Last Straw, to support their on-going work in preserving our oceans. Beautifully handcrafted in sterling silver, a material known for its anti-bacterial qualities, The Last Straw is hand engraved with the owner’s name followed by the engraved statement: Last Straw.

Autumn celebrated the mentorship programmes in association with The Leopards. Established in 2016, The Leopards are a like-minded group of British designers and jewellery professionals who have come together to celebrate the wonder, art and desire that jewellery inspires. Founding members: Stephen Webster, Solange Azagury-Partridge, Shaun Leane and Theo Fennell, each provided a unique opportunity for a young craftsperson to train at their Head Office workshops for three months to craft their winning design from the 2017 Leopards Awards. As a proud member of The Leopards, our 2nd annual event was truly a special one for us, with each winner of the Leopards Mentorship Programme, unveiling their finished design and Stephen launching an exclusive Hammerhead Bangle with Leopard Enamel to mark the occasion, with all sales proceeds donated to The Princes Trust.

Autumn also launched the second of our trilogy ‘Altered Perspective’ collections; Dynamite. Featuring dramatic silhouettes, the ‘Dynamite’ collection is composed of tapered baguette-cut white diamonds to emulate fragments of post-modern architecture. This exquisite, glamorous collection fuses together modernity with traditional craftsmanship, finding a new symmetry in asymmetry.

Committed to sustainability, when approached by Atelier Swarovski collaborate on a consciously made fine jewellery collection, there was no hesitation. Moreover, to November, the  'Double Diamond' Atelier Swarovski by Stephen Webster' collection was unveiled. Inspired by the diamond in its rough form an octahedron, Webster placed Swarovski created diamonds into octahedron-shaped frames crafted with 14 karat recycled gold and encased with stunning polished spheres of opaque rose quartz, a stone in some cultures is associated with its healing qualities. The collection is exclusive to purchase from selected Atelier Swarovski stores and online.

Last but certainly not least; for the very first time, Stephen Webster’s emporium of homeware products made their debut at Design Miami 2018! Over the years, our primarily bespoke pieces have taken the brand to table top, kitchen counter and bar. This 2018, we were proud to launch the Tequila Lore Set. Handcrafted in England in sterling silver, steel with an array of gemstones, this extraordinary tequila set contains all the tools required to make the perfect tequila-based drinks. Inspired by Mexican folklore, which references wild rabbits, bulls, eagles and rattlesnakes, each piece is a sculpture representing this animal menagerie, becoming a true conversation piece!
