How to ‘Amplify' Your Engagement Ring

Today, the most popular choice for an engagement ring continues to be the classic solitaire Brilliant Cut Diamond.

It's intriguing that even among those who tend to embrace forward-thinking or progressive lifestyles, there's often a preference for the traditional. This paradox highlights the long and rich history of the classic engagement ring design.

Rather than change perception, we embrace it, with the possibility of a ‘Party Jacket’. Unlike a Wedding Band, the ‘Party Jacket’ allows you to frame your engagement ring symmetrically, adding further volume and glamour to the piece. The concept enables the wearer to place a feature stone ring, into a separate outer ring, merging the two together as one piece.

One of our latest RESET projects came into our workshop as a Platinum solitaire with central Blue Sapphire. The striking gemstone was set in an old-fashioned ring that demanded a modern Webster twist.

For the makeover, our design team envisioned a bold duo: a refined solitaire with an accompanying diamond-studded jacket. We used every scrap of the available material to craft the new piece. The final result: a cutting-edge, show-stopping ring.

Bespoke Party Jacket

We can also tailor a jacket for an existing ring.

Our client came to us with her very simple solitaire marquise engagement ring, that she felt was missing a bit of ‘oomph’. Much to our delight, we were briefed to not hold back on the sparkle factor; so we ramped the design up a notch.

The resulting piece was a bespoke jacket, crafted in Platinum, to compliment the original ring, fully set with baguette cut white Diamonds. The outer ring also doubled up as the wedding band when they officially tied the knot.

This project perfectly embodies what we do best; creating something personal, and versatile but full of personality. The client can now slip in and out of her party jacket whenever she feels like it; although we suspect she probably doesn’t want to take it off at all. Who can blame her?
