From Ozzy Osbourne to Yungblud: The Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll Ring

Some pieces of jewellery are more than embellishments. They become symbols — worn on the skin, carried through eras, and tied to the people who shape culture. The Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll Ring is one of those pieces. Loud, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore, it was created to represent the raw spirit of rock’n’roll in its purest form.

Here it is being worn by someone that embodies that energy perfectly: Yungblud.

A Ring with a Legacy

Before it ever appeared on Yungblud’s hand, this ring already had history. One of Stephen’s first Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll bespoke commissions was for the rock legend that is Ozzy Osbourne. Not being one to shy away from (anything really) Ozzy’s request was to have his completely covered with Diamonds, with a cross-cut Amethyst in the centre. Ozzy didn’t just lead the way in terms of music, he defined a whole attitude: fearless, chaotic, and totally committed to authenticity. In the same way, this ring was a statement piece for someone who never followed the rules.

Yungblud & Ozzy: A Connection Beyond Music

Yungblud’s relationship with Ozzy Osbourne was bigger than a typical “influence” story. It’s rooted in genuine admiration, shared spirit, and the kind of mutual respect that only exists between artists who truly understand what it means to be different.
Both Ozzy and Yungblud united in ways that went beyond the music. They both represent the outsider. The rebel. The kid who refuses to fit in. And that is what this ring stands for.

Carrying the Torch

Since Ozzy’s passing, Yungblud has been spotted wearing the ring on a tour taking him across the world; from the UK to Australia, to India, to the U.S.A. and he hasn’t taken it off. That kind of commitment says everything. It’s not an accessory. It’s a message. In many ways, seeing Yungblud wearing the ring feels like watching the torch being passed from one generation of rock to the next. A reminder that while icons may leave us, their impact never does — it lives on through the artists they inspired and the culture they helped create.

The Cherry on the Cake

To top it all off, Yungblud won the ‘Best Rock Performance’ Grammy this week for his live rendition of Black Sabbath's ‘Changes’ - recorded during Ozzy Osbourne's farewell concert in Birmingham last year. He selflessly dedicated the award fully to Ozzy Osbourne, and gave a touching speech, all the while wearing the ring that tied these two souls together.

Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll — FOREVER.

The phrase itself is iconic. Pinched from Ian Dury’s song of the same name. Now, the iconic status of this ring has been further cemented in our repertoire. To have this piece connect two artists like Ozzy Osbourne and Yungblud together is an honour — and a reminder of why we do what we do. Because jewellery is meaningful. But the right jewellery becomes history.
