RESET
About RESET
Everyone has items in their jewellery box that are in need of a refresh or some TLC.
With RESET you can repurpose unworn or broken items of jewellery, turning them into modern pieces, reusing as many of the original parts as possible.
“RESET is working with what you already own, no matter how modest the haul. The stories live on in the parts. The great thing about fine or precious jewellery is that its elements are what retains the value. During these times of responsible and sustainable luxury, what could be more so than repurposing what has been gathered or extracted in some way from the past, and not from a mine."
- Stephen Webster, MBE
The Process
RESET was initiated after decades of working closely with clients who were looking to reinvent their existing jewellery. Bring your jewels to RESET and we’ll reimagine them into something new and relevant.
The process begins with a private consultation with a member of the in-house design team. They will assess the existing materials and work closely with you to make the most use and joy, from what you have.
The Clicker
This intergenerational RESET story began with a client who uses a counter as a gentle everyday stress reliever, and for whom we created a beautiful bespoke Blue Titanium clicker. The piece was so unique that it inspired the client’s mother to order one for herself.
The mother brought in a gold necklace set with diamonds, rubies, and emeralds that she no longer wore. The re-design process started with Stephen Webster analysing the materials and carefully dismantling each stone. Our master craftsmen then deconstructed and reworked the necklace to create a 18ct Rose Gold and Pink Titanium counter, with Diamond and Ruby detailing.
A flower motif, which had a special meaning to the client, was added to the side of the clicker chamber, making this piece wholly and genuinely personal.
The Divorce Ring
Our latest RESET project came into our workshop as a Platinum solitaire with a central Blue Sapphire. The central gemstone was set in a plain band that demanded a modern Webster twist.
For the makeover, our design team envisioned a bold pairing: a refined solitaire with an accompanying diamond-studded party jacket. Every scrap of the available material was used to craft the new piece. The final result: a show-stopping yet versatile ring.
An Engagement Ring Reincarnated
Jessie came to Stephen Webster with her mother's extraordinary wedding ring from 1975. The piece was a memento of her mother, who recently passed away.
She also brought to us a beautiful round-cut Diamond - a Memorial stone created from her mother's ashes. When Stephen learned the full story behind the Diamond, he was very moved by it. He proposed to set the Memorial Diamond into the tear-shaped section of the wedding ring, sustaining the unusual beauty of the original piece.
